MISC:     Self-Styled Post-Sovietologist Thomas Goltz has been writing and speaking about the complex ethnic and political turf in the former Soviet Union since its collapse in 1991. Articles have appeared in publications as diverse as the Washington Post, New York Times, Business Week, The National and Soldier Fortune. Short films have aired on the BBC, PBS and Turkish and Russian NTV stations. His book on Azerbaijan "Azerbaijan Diary" is regarded a obligatory reading for students of the region. 
 
"CHECHNYA DIARY" examines the events of this tiny principality's attempts at freedom, and the horrors of the Samashki Massacre, the symbol of the Russian brutality employed to crush Chechen resistance.
